Neil has been sailing Cherubs for 13 years and is currently based at Tynemouth Sailing Club near Newcastle. He sails a Slug design Cherub to the latest specification and also keeps a pre-97 rules Flying Trifle design for club sailing. Notable achievements include the Splash'n'Swim Trophy for most spectacular wipe-out at the World Championships in 1996 and credit for TSC Dismasting of the Year 2001.
