The Lake Washington Sailing Club, in West Sacramento, California, is currently (June 2008)
in the process of trying to establish a new El Toro Fleet. We are just in the startup phase, so now
would be a fun time to join and get in on the ground floor. You do not have to be a "hot shot sailor"
as we are all learning together. We need atleast three other El Toro sailors to join. Also if you don't
have an El Toro yet, but are interested, we would like to hear from you.

The El Toro is fiberglass and foam and epoxy, it has side & rear tanks, a new wood mast, a new sail used
once, two rudders, one daggerboard, a broken boom with rigging intact (I sailed once, for maybe 5 minutes
before I broke the boom, on a day with too much wind, the boat has not been sailed since) it has all the
rigging needed to sail. I never got a chance to work out the bugs, so it may need a little work to make
it function properly, I need to get this out of my garage very soon. The boat is numbered & registered.

Good condition El Toro with fiberglass hull, aluminum mast, Stayset rigging
and sail made by Hogin in Alameda. Unsure of the boat's age; we bought her off a
sailor who was too tall for her and before that she was raced by a young girl.

Smith Bros. mahogany #5993, others sailed it 20 years ago in the
Bullship Goldengate race. It has not been in the water since then.
Older senior here who cannot handle the weight. Sail and all equipment.

Fiberglass club boat, also a Lim El Toro built in Hawaii. Sail number #11825. Great for beginners.
This boat comes with everthing, wooden mast, aluminum pipe boom. The racing sail is a bit old.
The hull is in pretty good shape, has some dings here and there.
It hasn't been raced competitively since NA's At Howard Prairie.
Was fast and still is fast. It can be delivered in California.

Last sailed 10 years ago and stored in dry garage. Plywood hull with redwood inside, built by Ellie Taylor
to plans available from ETIYRA. Hull weight approx. 80lbs, set up for racing. Centerboard trunk is
1 inch longer than required & will allow for heavier sailor before talking on water.
Mast & boom made of lightweight spruce. Dacron sail by Lorenz & Hanna of Costa Mesa, CA
Total boat weight ready to race appox. 105lbs. Lightweight aluminum blocks in
rigging with aluminum needle roller bearings for ease in pulling halyard line.
Minor damage on shearwater and seat needs to be re-glued. Minor water leak at centerboard.
All very easily repaired.
Comes complete with sail bag and two foam life perservers.

One of the first El Toro's made - No. 620, "Sparrow"
Circa 1970's. Pelican Blue outer hull with cream color interior + racing stripe ("the" in colors of the day...).
Original mast, tiller/rudder, dagger board, and boom + newer unfinished mast.
Original sail with No's + racing chevrons (season championships) Canvas sail bag.
Definitely needs to be spruced up as it has not been in the water for a number of years.
Otherwise, it is a GREAT classic boat and a real treasure for a small-boat sailing buff!

I'm looking for either boat number 2158 or 2159. This is a wooden boat made from a kit by
Basin Boat Craft of Oakland, CA. Hull is painted white on the outside and varnished interior.
My Dad and I put this together in the late 1950's, so I would like to get it back!
