• Zephyr wins the 2002 Gulf Coast J/30 Fleet Championship. Get the compleet results.
• Team Zephyr WINS the 2002 J/30 North American Championships with finishes of 1,2,2,2,3,1 to win by 6 points on a loaner boat!!! This is the second straight year for Scott and the boys!!! Results, details as of Friday, 13 September 2002, at 8:07 p.m. I'll have more as soon as I can get the information.
• This years J/30 Directors meeting at Cedar Point.
  
• We have two new J/30s in our area. Well, one really. Twister had been in Corpus Christi was recently purchased by Tom Eskridge and is at PYC, and Johnny Roberts owner of all the Fine Line/Ambush boats brought one in from Clearwater, Florida and has it docked on Ono Island.
• Gritz Wins Class C in the 2002 GYA Challenge Cup followed by J/30s Zephyr and Jalapeno in 2nd and 3rd respectfully in a 11 boat PHRF Class. This class has been dominated by J/30s for 6 years or more now.
• Gritz Wins the 2002 J/30 Midwinters by one point over a tie for second in some very close racing that saw 4 of the 6 competing boats do 720s.
• Gritz Wins 2 against the Lake while also taking Fleet and Male/Female honors.
• 2001 J/30 National Champion Zephyr Wins Mardi Gras Regatta and takes the lead in the 2002 Gulf Coast Fleet Championship.
• Sailing World rates the J/30 as an excellent choice for PHRF racing in the article "PHRF Racers to Fit a Budget By Bill Brockway An in-depth look at seven PHRF winners that you can own for the approximate cost of a new SUV." The article can be found on page 23 of the February 2002 issue. But we know that friends don't let friends sail P.H.R.F..
